Namirah belongs to a tribe of Persian nomads known as the “Magi-Ahay”. The Magi-Ahay have discovered a way to harness natural energy found in precious metals and gems and turn it into magic. This is all based on a form of alchemy. Fearing that this ability would be used against his rule, the Persian ruler branded them as demonic witches and sought to imprison them. Some managed to escape and become nomads traveling constantly in search for a safe haven.

All the traveling has awakened an adventurous and independent spirit in Namirah, which causes her to venture on her own in search of treasure (much to the dismay of her mother). Over her young years, Namirah has developed a knack for discovering where treasure is located.
